Anyone know the capacity of the stock alternator - and pretty much what's left over. I already have a radar detector, Garmin 396 GPS, and power my iphone so I want to make sure before I attempt it or maybe upgrade the alternator if possible.

As per the shop manual, (page 1-11) the alternator's rated output is 35 Amps @ 14V
Alternator: Type. Three-phase AC. Maximum Output. 14.0 V – 35.0 A @ 5 000 r/min (rpm)

No, I do not know the math to know when the system is past its threshold. Short of sending off your own stator as a core exchange or is used to rebuild it to a higher output:
1. Run a higher rated cca battery.
2. Run a toggle switch inline with the one low beam wire. Shut one light off during the day.
3. Run one brake light switch and play the odds someone being too close. Holding the brake light on, being at a low idle, it is a battery drainer in itself. So disconnect the brake switch that dominates stopping and holding the bike from rolling. Tap the working switch a few times to wake up traffic.
4. Run toggle switches to shut off accessories that do not need to be on at certain times.
